Technical information

  • TECHNICAL DATA
  • SPECIFICATION TEXT
  • ORDER CODE
The SCHOOLAIR-B-HV-EH decentralised supply and extract air unit provides ventilation for the room and covers the heating load in accordance with the specified technical data. An EC centrifugal fan draws in the outdoor air, which first flows through a motorised shut-off damper and the outside air filter. In the next step, the outdoor air passes through the rotary heat recovery unit. The rotary heat recovery unit can be switched off when operation is not energy-efficient. Finally, the supply air is heated in the electric heating coil, if required, before it flows into the room as displacement air. The extract air passes through the extract air filter, then flows through the rotary heat recovery unit, the extract air fan and the motorised shut-off damper, before it is discharged to the outside as exhaust air.
If indoor air quality is good, the FSL-CONTROL III control activates the energy-efficient secondary air mode by closing the outdoor air damper. The control system continuously measures the indoor air quality via the CO2 sensor, adjusts the volume flow as required and automatically switches between outdoor air and secondary air mode.
The supply air flows into the room close to the façade at an average velocity of 0.5 – 0.8 m/s.
At heat sources such as people or equipment, natural convection creates a buoyant airflow, so that air exchange primarily occurs in these areas.
Energy-efficient EC centrifugal fans are used as supply and extract air fans. The sound attenuators in the unit as well as the casing insulation ensure low-noise operation.
The shut-off dampers for outdoor air and exhaust air are closed in the following situations:
  • In secondary air mode
  • For fire protection
  • For frost protection
  • When window contact switches are activated
  • In the event of a power failure
