Application

The Field Application Module-Ethernet (FAM-E) is part of the TROX Ox System platform and the higher-level control unit in the field for various applications. The applications are distributed in  the field. This decentralised approach increases the operational reliability of the system. FAM-E sends the data collected in the field to the central management and visualisation point - the System Controller (SC). Transmission takes place via a structured Ethernet connection with standard IP network protocols. FAM-E has 2 Ethernet interfaces for connection to the system controller. These interfaces allow daisy-chain wiring of up to 5 Ethernet-capable field devices with switch function. This reduces the wiring effort and the number of switch connections. On the field side, FAM-E has various communicative, analogue and digital interfaces to fulfil its control and regulation tasks. Numerous components certified by TROX can be connected to it. These include volume flow controllers, sensors, heating and cooling valves, fire and smoke protection modules and a room control unit. FAM-E processes the applications that can be selected to fulfil its control and regulation tasks. The applications required for the project requirements can be customised from a list of all available applications.
