Application

Construction features

  • With or without recess for a diffuser face
  • A diffuser face can only be used with constructions that have a recess for it
  • Available in nominal lengths from 550 to 1175 mm and in nominal heights from 290 to 440 mm (in increments of 1 mm)
  • The perforated metal diffuser face PP has approx. 51% of free area, round hole (6 mm diameter) staggered pitch
  • The slot diffuser face SC has the largest possible free area that causes only very little pressure loss

  • Mineral wool that comes into contact with air is faced with glass fibre fabric as a protection against erosion due to airflow velocities up to 20 m/s

  • Non-hazardous to health thanks to being highly biosoluble in accordance with the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances and Note Q of the European Directive (EC) No. 1272/2008
  • Inert to fungal and bacterial growth


Standards and guidelines

  • Sound power level of the air-regenerated noise measured according to EN ISO 5135
  • Conforms to VDI 6022

Type CFE crossflow elements can be installed in lightweight partition walls. A pressure difference causes the air in an internal space, for example an office, to flow as extract air to another area, for example a corridor, some other internal space or other adjacent area with a suspended ceiling, from where it can be removed with a central extract system. The crossflow element comes with acoustic lining that reduces noise transmission between adjacent rooms. Insulation strips on the casing prevent noise transmission through the casing and to the wall.

Specification text
Crossflow elements with acoustic lining that prevents cross talk are used for air transfer between adjacent rooms and are suitable for comfort zones.
Available as a rectangular Z-style or T-style construction. Height and width can be chosen freely (increments of 1 mm) within the stated ranges to adapt the crossflow element to project-specific requirements.
Crossflow elements without recess for the diffuser face provide building owners and architects with various design options as long as they consider the required free area of 51%. Constructions with a recess allow for fitting one of several diffuser faces. The perforated diffuser face -PP has a free area of approx. 51%. The hole diameter is 6 mm, staggered pitch.
Fixing a diffuser face to the crossflow element after the drywalling has been completed is a quick and easy affair.
The crossflow element comes with acoustic lining that reduces noise transmission between adjacent rooms. Sealing strips on the casing minimise structure-borne noise.
Suitable for the space saving or concealed installation in lightweight partition walls with a metal support structure.
Sound power level of the air-regenerated noise measured according to EN ISO 5135.
Sound reduction index to ISO 10140 and ISO 717-1.
