TROX fire damper FK-EU

For decades TROX fire dampers have guaranteed certified safety in buildings. All uses of the FK-EU now meet the increased European fire protection requirements.

For usage onto solid walls optimised designs were developed according to the product standard EN 15650, tested with positive results according to the standard EN 1366-2 and classified to EI 90 S fire protection in accordance with EN 13501-3. Details can be found in the new leaflet (German version). Applications on solid ceilings can be implemented with a local concrete ring.

With the expiry of the general technical approval Z-41.3-321 on 1st April 2013, the use of FK-EU under solid ceilings, the old designs onto solid walls and ceilings as well as the version with sheet metal covered damper blade no longer apply.

The dry installation with soft partition represents a new additional use. With this installation option fire dampers are mounted in openings which can be all-round up to 400 mm larger than the casing size. This enables more planning freedom.
